1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us when you register for an account, creation or upload a resume, or communicate with us.

  • Personal Data: Personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, and telephone number, and demographic information, such as your age, gender, hometown, and interests, that you voluntarily give to us.
  • Resume Data: Information contained in the resumes or cover letters you upload or build on our platform, including work history, education, and skills. Documents you save in the builder are stored in your account until you delete them. A resume uploaded to the ATS checker is read into text to produce your score; a structured, de-identified copy (roles, bullets, skills — with your name, email, phone and links removed) is kept for up to 7 days so a re-check is instant and gives the same number, then deleted. A pasted job description is reduced to its keyword list, kept for 30 days. Resumes screened through the recruiter tool are parsed, scored and dropped; nothing from them is cached. We do not use resume data to train models.
  • Voice Recordings: If you choose to answer AI Interview Coach questions by voice, we process the audio of your spoken answer to generate a transcript and feedback. Recordings are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers; only the resulting transcript and feedback are shown to you in your session. Voice mode is optional — you can always type your answers instead.
  • Usage Data: We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve our services.

  • To provide and maintain our Service, including monitoring the usage of our Service.
  • To manage your account: to manage your registration as a user of the Service.
  • To contact you: To contact you by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication.
  • To publish aggregate statistics: we may publish statistics computed from the scores our resume checker records (for example, the share of resumes whose bullet points include numbers). These figures are calculated from scores only, never include resume text, names or contact details, and are published only as totals and percentages that cannot identify any person or resume.

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

  • By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.
  • Business Transfers: We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services for various business functions, including payment processing. When you make a purchase, your payment information is collected and processed by our third-party payment processors: **Razorpay** for payments in Indian Rupees, and **Dodo Payments** for international payments in US Dollars. Dodo Payments acts as the merchant of record for those international purchases. Each has its own privacy policy regarding how they handle your personal data, which we recommend you read.

Your payment details (like credit card numbers) are never stored on our servers; they are handled directly by Razorpay or Dodo Payments through secure encryption.

AI features on our platform are powered by **Google's Gemini API** and **Anthropic's Claude API**. When you use an AI feature, the content needed to produce the result — such as resume text you submit for AI structuring or improvement, typed mock-interview answers, or, if you use voice mode, the audio recording of your spoken answer — is transmitted to Google or Anthropic for processing and the result is returned to you. Voice recordings are processed by Google only. We do not store your voice recordings on our servers. 5. Mobile App

The ATS First: AI Resume Maker app for iPhone and Android uses the same account and stores the same resume data as the website. In addition:

  • Crash and usage data: the app uses Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase (Google) to report crashes and to count which screens and features are used. Crash reports carry your account id so we can find a report when you contact support; they do not include resume text. The app does not use an advertising identifier and shows no ads.
  • Store purchases: Pro passes bought in the app are paid through Apple's App Store or Google Play, which handle your payment details. We use RevenueCat to confirm purchases and credit the pass to your account, so RevenueCat receives your account id and the purchase record, never your card details.
  • Camera and photos: if you take or choose a photo of a resume, the image is sent to our server, read into text (using Google's Gemini API for the text recognition) and then discarded. We do not store the photo.
  • Speech input: if you dictate answers in the resume maker, your phone's built-in speech recognition (Apple or Google) turns your voice into text. We receive only the text, never the audio. Spoken interview answers are handled as described under Voice Recordings above.
  • Interview practice: practice sessions in the app are stored on your phone only and are removed when you delete the app.
  • Deleting your account: in the app, open Profile and tap Delete account. On the web, sign in and use Delete account on your Account page. Either way your account and the resumes, cover letters and history saved in it are deleted. Full steps and what we keep are at atsfirst.com/delete-account.

6. Security of Your Data

The security of your PII (Personal Identifiable Information) is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
